Fairfield is a picturesque and fully productive fruit farm at the foot of the Skurweberg Mountains, just 6 km from the town of Ceres. The mountain cottages are tucked away at the foot of the mountain, far away from any rush or noise. The setting certainly helps most people to feel their sorrows dissolve…

In winter a sheet of water comes cascading down the rocky surface of the mountain (which serves as the backdrop for all three cottages). During this season the cottages also have a spectacular view of the snow-capped mountains surrounding the fruitful Ceres Valley.

In spring the cottages look out over brightly coloured pink and white fruit trees, only a few hundred meters away. To the mountain's side of the cottages, wild mountain flowers and fynbos add a friendly touch to its rocky surface.

Summer brings with it many activities to thrill outdoor enthusiasts,
ranging from adventurous hiking to rustic bass fishing at the dam. The
mountain biking trails at nearby Eselfontein farm (20 min away) is said to
be the best in the Western Cape. Back at Fairfield, the plunge pool is
wonderfully cool on lazy summer days and great entertainment for kids. The
eco cottage boasts an outdoor Mountain Bath (with solar powered hot water),
and Klipspringer Cottage an outdoor Tree Shower. Both were designed to
give you wonderful views of the towering mountains.

A favourite of the owners is a late afternoon or early morning walk among
the orchards. Especially following the orchard and hiking routes, which
makes this easy and accessible for all guests.
